We the People, Castlemaine Assembly.

Attendance: Brenda Addie, Susie Burris,Vicki Edwards, Sue Edmonds, Paul Pinch, Jacqui Turnbull, Janine Wolfe.

Visitors:   Dennis Horrigan, Patrick (Maryborough) Kerryn Sedgman,(Wheatsheaf) Chris (Ballarat) Ilona Lerner (Wheatsheaf)

Apologies: Dianne Shoobridge. Condolences expressed to Dianne on the passing of her father.

Janine extended welcome to members and visitors and invited everyone to introduce themselves and to express their reason for being interested in Common Law.

Last month minutes were delivered to everyone by email and available on the website.

Sue Edmonds offered the Treasurer’s report and Brenda was re-imbursed $57 for Commonwealth Custodian printing material used for Wodonga, Bendigo and other presentations. (Printed material still in hand).

Jam jar collection received.

Main activity of the Evening was Paul Pinches’ presentation on Affidavits. This continuing education was well received and has been a highlight of our meetings.  Paul’s presentation was clear and excellent and invited much discussion. We thank Paul.   (PDF attached to this email).

Next month a presentation to be given by Vicky Edwards in relation to Equity Law and we thank her for her offer and the use of her home for this meeting.

Discussion continued around focusing needs/actions for our group and the following list is for consideration for every Member and for discussion at next meeting:

 1 Shared education (and visits) with other groups: e.g. Ballarat, Maryborough, Bendigo on topics like Crypto, Communal Gardens, specific Common Law topics, Commonwealth Custodians, Fines, Court Hearings etc, Stand in the Park activities.

2.Community Garden offer by Stefania to be fully discussed at our next meeting.

3 Continuing support and recruitment for caretakers and candidates for Commonwealth Custodians. Expression of Interest in Candidature for Ballarat received from Kerryn Sedgman.

4. Social Credits

5. Talbot Parish Community introduced by Jackie Turnbull and the offer to attend their meeting on 3 June at 10am at Jacqui’s house.
