Common Law Session

  1. Updates on the dual election process.

Filled everyone in from the convenor meeting and the process of moving forward. 3 people in our group have put their hands up, though no oaths have been taken yet and not everyone has signed the charter. It was suggested we do our oaths in a couple of weeks.

There is a call out for custodians to be caretakers of the upper and lower house positions until the local community find their own representative.

THIS IS VERY IMPRTANT AS NUMBERS ARE NEEDED ASAP. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS FORM IF YOU ARE KEEN TO BECOME A CARETAKER OR HELP WITH THE POLLING STATIONS.

  1. Discussed the constitution and highlighted a number of clauses relevant to us right now and the treason from our current government. This led to further discussion for us to read and understand our constitution.
  2. Upon correspondence with Mike Holt might he states

“We are bound by Clause 5 to the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act 1901, the one you attached. (I will attached again with these minutes)

All assemblies are also bound by our Common Law constitution, which is a guide to the business end of assemblies:

Make sure your members read the assembly constitution, as it explains the general organisation rules for all assemblies. “

This means we also have to have a clear understanding of our Assembly Constitution.

  1. The highlighted clauses we will explore are as listed below, According to the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act, 1901.

Clauses: 5, 6, 7, 9, (Read first 4 pages) Clauses 24, 25, 41, 43, 51, 52, 53, 91, 95, 102, 109, 116 and 128. These are our starting points. https://rumble.com/vtqzi6-sheriff-training-1-the-constitution.html
